Repair your bicycle

I've been learning to repair my bicycle. Once a week I attend a free workshop at my local bike shop, where they cover a specific problem each time. During the week, I make sure to reread my notes from the workshop; I take notes by hand and then retype them when I get home, to have a more legible copy and also to make myself go over them again.

If it's feasible, I take one of my bicycles apart and redo the repair myself at home. I also volunteer to fix friends' bikes, and when one of them has a problem that I don't know how to fix, I look it up on the internet and take notes on it as though I were at the workshop. Once I get more storage space, I'm hoping to start picking up broken bikes (there are always broken bikes in the trash) and rebuilding them in order to expand my skills.
